Today we wanted to give you a glimpse of  what we do on our Mondays when we are closed to the public. The photograph below shows Archivists and Librarians, Caitlin & Laura, processing the Arizona Historical Society Institutional Records. It’s about 600 linear feet.

It’s Up 2 U! Health Literacy exhibit

New exhibit up in the Tucson Library Reading Room! It’s Up 2 You! is comic book exhibit that encourages healthy living! Come meet Samantha, the spunky heroine and teen skateboarder, who challenges her friends, Brandon and Tomas, to be more active and avoid unhealthy foods. On display until April 17th! Come on in and check it out!

C.S. Fly Skates

For this Fun Friday we want to share with you a photograph of William H. Kirlew in roller skates.

This photograph was taken at C.S. Fly studios in Tombstone in circa 1890. Mr. Kirlew, who was a professional hunter and was a baseball player on the Tombstone team.

This is a photograph of him at age 24.
