Announcement: Upcoming Library Closure!

16 May

This post is to alert you, our valued patrons, that we will be closing the library and archives on Thursday, June 6 and Friday, June 7 to do some work on major projects. Remember what happened the last time the library was closed? This time we’re working on changes behind the scenes, so you won’t be able to actually see them out in the Reading Room. The changes we’re making will make it easier for us to access some of our collections and are also focused on improving the use of space in our stacks so we have more room for future collections. However these projects are so large that we need all hands on deck for a couple of days in order to complete them in a timely manner.

We definitely do apologize as we know this may cause some inconvenience on the part of our researchers, but we think we’ll all be happy and excited about these changes. So please plan your research with the knowledge that we’ll be closed these two days: Thursday, June 6 and Friday, June 7, 2013.  (And don’t worry, we’ll remind you again when it gets a bit closer to June). Thank you for your patience!
